How do you form seamless connections between scientific findings and public policy?
How can you discuss science and social issues without lapsing into Scientist Voice™ or sounding like you’re preaching?
And where on earth do we go from here?
In this fast-paced, one-hour crash course, you'll learn the fundamentals of science advocacy, brainstorm the building blocks of your own empirically-informed call(s) to action, and, ideally (fingers crossed!), leave feeling just a little bit more hopeful than you did when the hour began.
For flexibility’s sake, this one-hour session will be offered multiple different times, all starting at 1:00 PM EDT // 10:00 AM PDT on the following dates:
If you’d like to attend, you only need to register for one of them. It’ll be the same content each time, rather than a longer workshop where the sessions build upon each other.
Our standard rate for a one-hour workshop is $30 for those who will have the cost covered by external grant or other professional development funding. Discounts are available for those paying out-of-pocket ($20) or who make less than the living wage for their area ($10).
Things happen, it’s okay! Just reply back to your registration confirmation email letting us know.
If you need to cancel and are able to do so with at least 24 hours’ notice, you’ll get a full refund. With less than 24 hours’ notice, we unfortunately won’t be able to offer refunds, but we’ll gladly credit your registration fee to a future workshop of your choice. (And you’ll be the first to know when registration opens for each new workshop.)
